What Dilli Haat INA is

What Dilli Haat INA is

Dilli Haat INA is a six-acre bazaar combining craft stalls, regional food and cultural activity. Delhi Tourism says it opened in March 1994 and was developed jointly by Delhi Tourism, NDMC, government offices responsible for handicrafts and handlooms, and the Union Ministries of Textiles and Tourism.

The setting draws on traditional North Indian architecture, with brick latticework, stone roofs, small thatched-roof cottages and kiosks. Craft stalls are rotationally allotted to artisans from across India for 15-day periods, so the selection changes. You can also find an exhibition hall, souvenir shop, open stage and children’s play area.

How do you get to Dilli Haat INA from the airport area?

How do you get to Dilli Haat INA from the airport area?

INA is the nearest metro station to Dilli Haat and sits on the Yellow Line. From Aerocity, one route takes the Airport Express (Orange) Line to New Delhi, changes to the Yellow Line toward Millennium City Centre, then continues to Dilli Haat–INA. The route is about 22.4 km, takes about 30 minutes and has 12 stations with one interchange.

At Dilli Haat–INA station, Gate 5 is an exit for the market; Gate 1 also serves Dilli Haat and Sri Aurobindo Marg. Station exits and routes can change, so check current metro information when planning.

Dilli Haat INA is about 9.3 km from Airport Hotel Mayank Residency. You can review its room options at this three-star hotel when planning your stay.

Entry fees, hours and event checks

Delhi Tourism gives the market’s daily hours as 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and says tickets are sold at the entry gate during opening hours. Admission is Rs.20 for adults and Rs.10 for children; the page also gives an entry amount of Rs.100 for foreigners, without clarifying how that relates to the other amounts.

Opening hours

  • Monday to Sunday: 11:00–20:00

Last checked November 2026. Hours can change on holidays and for special events.

Hours and ticket details can change, so check the official site before you go. If you are planning around a cultural activity, confirm what is scheduled rather than assuming a particular performance will be on.

Shopping, food and time to allow

Shopping, food and time to allow

Allow time to browse the changing craft stalls as well as the food counters. The food offering includes cuisines from different states and union territories, such as momos from Sikkim, Kahwa and kebabs from Jammu, Pooranpoli from Maharashtra and Gujarati dhokla.

The changing artisan stalls mean a visit is not a guarantee of finding a particular maker or item. If you are pairing the market with other stops, the one-day Delhi itinerary from the airport area offers a way to plan the outing alongside the rest of your day.

Access and practical visit notes

The market’s stalls, food and cultural spaces sit within the same complex, making it possible to combine browsing and a meal in one visit. If you need specific access information, contact the market before travelling; step-free routes and facilities can vary.
